The Global Asthma Report 2026: country stories presents perspectives from over 30 countries across all WHO regions, highlighting the burden of asthma, availability of diagnostic and treatment services, access to preventive interventions, and key challenges faced at national level.

The report identifies increasing asthma prevalence and persistent inequities both between and within countries. A central message is the urgent need to improve access to affordable, effective care for all people living with asthma, aligning with the World Asthma Day 2026 theme on access to anti-inflammatory inhalers.
